Nowakowski was selected by the Steelers in the fifth round of April's draft. Nowakowski is a bit undersized with very small hands, but he's a capable blocker and, after totaling 18 catches in 36 games at Wisconsin, made a little bit of a leap as a pass catcher in 2025 (his lone season at Indiana), posting a 32-387-2 receiving line. He's expected to play fullback and offer some tight end depth behind Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington.
